Description
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Account Manager to join a global leader in the semiconductor industry. This role is responsible for managing strategic supplier relationships, driving sourcing initiatives, and ensuring supplier performance supports manufacturing and spare parts operations across a complex global supply chain.
As a key member of the Supplier Account Management team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of suppliers, leading commercial engagements, contract negotiations, and long-term partnership strategies. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to ensure continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers, including executive-level engagement.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations covering contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, production capacity, and service agreements.
- Drive supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, lead-time, and overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement sourcing and commodity strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and evolving technical requirements.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to introduce new capabilities and support new product and technology requirements.
- Lead supplier business reviews (QBRs) and performance management activities.
- Drive cost reduction, supplier consolidation, risk mitigation, and process improvement initiatives across the supply base.
- Support supply chain resilience and proactively address business and operational challenges.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related commercial role.
- Strong background in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
- Technical or engineering background with a solid understanding of manufacturing environments and supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to lead commercial discussions and negotiate favorable business agreements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; SAP and Ariba experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience leading large-scale commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers.
- Project Management experience and/or relevant professional certifications.
