As the Product Quality Engineering PQA Sr. manager, your role involves ensuring that DRAM products shipped from Micron Taiwan Frontend Manufacturing meet customer requirements in terms of performance and reliability. Simultaneously, you aim to minimize the overall Cost of Non-Conformance. In that, your responsibilities include for the comprehensive monitoring and analysis of probed wafers for potential Quality and Reliability risks and for the technical standard of the fail mode modelling on which the disposition decision is based.
Collaborating with GQ and PE, you continuously improve product test coverage and setting of appropriate warning and screen limits to prevent escapes to Backend and Customer. Concurrently, your mission is to provide guidance for process improvements to enhance the baseline Probe-to-Ship yield and the overall ratio of prime Product Grading available for Micron shipment. In collaboration with Process QE and Fab Operation you assure the comprehensive Problem Solving of deviations that occur and seamless implementation of Preventive Actions and Shift-Left detection points.
You also ensure that manufacturing process/equipment changes impacting products undergo a full risk assessment and qualification process by using AI methodlogy and solution.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Define and maintain critical quality metrics aligned with business objectives
- Establish clear goals and aggressive timelines to achieve quality and reliability targets
- Manage qualification activities and customer sample quality to ensure successful and timely product introduction
- Drive TTMPG achievement by PG yield enhancement and Automotive AE% yield improvements
- Drive TTMCY achievemnet by PTS yield performance monitoring and improvement
- Burn DPM and module DPM reduction initiatives improvement to meet TTMDPM and TTMUE targets
- Wafer Level Reliability (WLR) monitoring and shift-left quality coverage at probe
- RMA management, analysis, and corrective actions to drive process and probe improvements
- Development and enhancement of WLR programs to monitor and improve fab process reliability
- Achieve or exceed Business Plan targets for NCD%, CoNC
- Prevent quality excursions, late events, and customer-impacting issues
- MRB case management, postmortem review, and CAPA implementation
- Drive problem solving and root cause analysis, including development of systemic and product-specific CAPAs for RMAs
- Monitor and improve key quality metrics, including production failures, customer returns, and reliability performance
- Review and report Global Quality dashboard metrics, highlighting gaps to specifications and performance targets
- Lead analysis across multiple data sources and ensure timely, accurate customer feedback
- Collaborate closely with Process, Module, RDA, Manufacturing, and other engineering teams to establish containment actions and continuous improvement plans
Manage and Lead Team:
- Define clear performance objectives and expectations for the PQA team. Provide regular documented performance feedback and development plans to reinforce strengths and address improvement opportunities.
- Establish effective communication channels to ensure company and departmental updates are shared consistently while encouraging open team feedback.
- Develop training and career development plans, monitor progress, and create learning and growth opportunities for team members.
- Promote a strong quality culture through consistent role modeling of Micron values and leadership behaviors.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent to support organizational and operational objectives.
