Class 5This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- COMPLETED LOCKOUT/TAGOUT TRAINING REQUIRED before training or operating line.
- Operates the mixer, water meter, oil system, dough pump and flour hopper as defined in Production Manual.
- Prepares for start-up or shut down of equipment.
- Keeps a legible accurate record as required including Blender Operator's Log.
- Stops machine to make required adjustments, following lockout-tagout policy.
- Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
- Keeps department clean and neat.
- Notifies Supervisor and QC of contamination, mechanical or operational issues.
- Must be able to perform the Machine Operators Training Checklist job tasks by the end of the 10-working day trial period.
- Ensure product specifications are met in accordance with customers written specifications.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and operate equipment in a safe manner.
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting any wear and tear on equipment.
- Must have the ability to enter data into the Plant View system.
- MUST ATTEND DAILY END OF SHIFT MEETINGS FOR THEIR SHIFT.
- Abide by all company policies / procedures, written or verbal.
- Work as a team member toward task accomplishments.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds (with assistance).
- The Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme cold.
- The Team Member will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.
- The Team Member will use a touch screen and hand held scanner.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates may not be allowed to apply for another position for six (6) months unless the position is a promotion
- If a job posting fails to produce any qualified candidates, the company may assign the position to a qualified probationary Team Member or recruit from the outside.
- Must have completed 90-day probationary period to apply. If a non-probationary period team member is not selected, probationary team members will be considered.
- Must have a satisfactory attendance record of 3 points or less.
- Must not have received a written warning/suspension in the last 6 months.
