Description
The Information Technology (IT) Department is seeking a Laserfiche/GIS Administrator who is excited to join their professional team! In this role, you will manage projects, provide support to City employees, and help ensure compliance with all organizational security policies to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in computer operations, client server/application support, project design methodology, asset and document management, user workflows, troubleshooting, and computer architecture. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS & TRAINING:- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass Standard and Criminal Background Check/Fingerprinting
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, Data Processing, Business Administration or a related field; AND
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional data processing experience which includes programming in GIS, Power BI, BS&A Cloud, web content management, asset management, and/or Laserfiche.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
- Training certifications preferred.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS INLCUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Designs, analyzes, and administers Laserfiche, GIS and other city applications.
- Analyzes problems by meeting with other staff members, makes notes regarding information and provides both verbal and written proposals to improve services.
- Designs solutions to data processing problems using flowchart, block diagrams and other methodologies for documenting system specifications.
- Conducts and attends meetings with all levels of personnel to establish system requirements.
- Operates a wide range of mainframe and personal computer systems along with other equipment including many types of printers, routers and other equipment.
- Performs duties of a project leader assigning work responsibilities and overseeing the development and implementation of new Information Technology Systems.
- Designs and coordinates program tests and ensures proper backups are performed on system files.
- Manages and maintains personal computers, computer networks, and databases in on-prem and cloud environments, including troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing both hardware and software systems.
