Whirlpool Canada is a leader in the home appliance industry, dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality products that enhance consumers' lives. The Learning & Development Team focuses on driving brand loyalty and revenue growth by supporting our trade partners, their sales staff, and Whirlpool Sales with world-class training solutions.

## This role in summary

The Sales Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for creating, curating, sharing, and maintaining impactful training content for Retail Sales Associates, serving as a primary resource for other functions within Whirlpool Canada. This role focuses on maximizing sales, generating revenue, and increasing brand loyalty through the delivery of exceptional training programs to Whirlpool's trade partners, key influencers, and internal partners.

## Your responsibilities will include

  • Product Training Delivery: Provide comprehensive product training to Whirlpool's appliance trade partners, internal partners, and key influencers to increase product features and consumer benefits awareness.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging and timely training content using a variety of software and tools, ensuring all information reflects current market environments and brand launch initiatives.
  • Event Execution: Lead, facilitate, and participate in various product training events, innovative demonstrations, and "training experiences" both online and in person to maximize audience engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface and collaborate with internal stakeholders—including Product Managers, Account Managers, National Account Managers, Brand Managers, and Category Managers—to become a product expert and support strategic product launches.
  • Feedback & Metrics: Deliver post-training take-aways and distribute surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and track participant progress.

## Minimum requirements

  • College or University degree required

## Preferred skills and experiences

  • Ability travel up to 50% to support in-person training events, trade partner sessions, and field visits (including some evenings and weekends)
  • Superior communication and presentation skills coupled with an innovative mindset.
  • Strong computer skills with a proactive initiative to develop technical competencies further.
  • Experience with Content Development
  • Self-initiative to rapidly understand Whirlpool products, their features, consumer benefits, and the competitive landscape.
  • A passionate enthusiasm for retail and product knowledge, with total comfort presenting in front of audiences both virtually and in person.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills; a proven team player who excels in cross-functional environments.
  • A strong technical background or service technician experience is considered a strong asset.
  • High level of detail orientation.

## Compensation Data

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,550- $103,100 + Annual Bonus. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant skills, professional experience, and specific educational background and certifications.
