The Events Manager reports to the Director of Leadership Events within University Advancement. The role of Events Manager is to plan (solely and as part of a team) and implement key events designed to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen ties to the University for the highest-level expectation audience, including University Leaders, Principal Gifts Donors, and visiting dignitaries. Oversee or assist with all aspects of event planning.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee event planning and execution in support of special events. This includes University Advancement and all Chancellor-hosted events of unlimited scope, such as private dinners, fireside chats, guest lectures, receptions, donor parties, Assembly Series lectures, commencement ceremonies, holiday events, salon events, and University memorials. Collaborate with institutional partners, staff, and faculty to design and deliver high-quality engagement experiences and stewardship initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate event planning operations. Responsibilities include leading contract negotiations and vendor management, supervising event strategy and execution, partnering with project coordinators on invitations and communications, managing invitation data and guest lists, coordinating mail house projects, and developing detailed timelines to ensure successful event delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
