The Role
SMEC is seeking an experienced Senior Team Administrator to join our Roads & Highways team on the Sunshine Coast. This role is ideal for a highly capable administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional services environment and acting as a trusted support resource for project teams and leaders.
You will provide high-level administrative and project support while helping drive consistency, efficiency, and best practice across team operations and project delivery activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering senior-level administrative support to team leaders and project managers.
- Coordinating project administration activities across multiple projects.
- Managing complex documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Supporting project financial administration, including invoicing, forecasting support, and project tracking.
- Assisting with resource coordination, meeting management, and team operations.
- Preparing professional reports, submissions, presentations, and correspondence.
- Maintaining project governance, compliance, and quality documentation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and team efficiencies.
- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior administrative staff where required.
About You
You will ideally possess:
- 6+ years’ experience in a senior administration, project administration, or team support role.
- Previous experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Exceptional organisational and coordination skills.
- Strong financial and project administration capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
- A proactive mindset with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
