This position is based out of our corporate office in Greenville, SC.The Staff Accountant I perform a wide variety of accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting records for a combination of general accounting and cost systems. Duties include a wide range of exposure to payroll taxes, sales commission statements, import duty computations, inventory observations and paperwork systems.
Crew Position:
Perform month end closing, including account analysis and journal entries, of retail, wholesale, manufacturing and distribution for specific operating groups or business units, as assigned.
Analyze variances and trends on financial statements.
Prepare account reconciliation including inventory, prepaids and accruals.
Receive and reconcile incoming inventory receipts.
Process miscellaneous accounts payable transactions.
Handle accounts receivable duties at the brand level, working closely with Oxford Credit department (i.e., chargeback and account research).
Communicate with Oxford controllership team on accounting issues.
Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for account analysis and reconciliation.
Monitor Credit Card activity and process monthly accruals and payments.

Know the ropes...
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
1+ years accounting or related experience.
Computer literate on an intermediate level in Microsoft suite of products – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
