Unbound (getunbound.ai) is building the future of agentic AI security. We're YC-backed and trusted by top enterprises to secure how their teams and AI agents use AI safely at work.

Where we are: past the guessing stage. Our ICP is defined, our messaging is tested, and our value proposition is validated by paying enterprise customers. What we don't have yet is someone whose full-time job is scaling distribution. That's this role. You'd join as the first dedicated growth hire at the point where the inputs are proven and the constraint is execution — early enough that your work shapes the trajectory, late enough that you're not guessing what to sell or to whom.

The Role

This is a full-stack growth role. You'll own the entire growth engine — not one channel, all of them. Email, LinkedIn, events, paid ads, search, SEO, and whatever we haven't tried yet. You'll decide where to spend time, run the experiments, read the results, and double down on what works.

We're not hiring for tool proficiency. Tools change every six months; foundations don't. We want someone who understands why a channel works — positioning, audience, funnel mechanics, messaging — and treats tools as interchangeable ways to execute. If you know the fundamentals, you can pick up any stack in a week.

You'll work directly with the founders. The positioning is proven — the distribution playbook is yours to write.

What You'll Do

  • Own pipeline generation across every channel: outbound email, LinkedIn, events, paid ads, search, and SEO
  • Design and run growth experiments end-to-end: hypothesis → build → launch → measure → kill or scale
  • Build the outbound engine — ICP research, list building, sequencing, copy that enterprise security buyers actually respond to
  • Own our organic presence: SEO strategy, content distribution, LinkedIn
  • Create light-touch content that fuels the channels: blog posts, product update announcements, and written assets for campaigns
  • Own the newsletter and lifecycle email — signup sequences, onboarding drips, and nurture flows that turn subscribers into pipeline
  • Run paid acquisition (Google, LinkedIn) and know when not to spend
  • Represent Unbound at security and AI events — and turn attendance into pipeline
  • Set up the growth stack: CRM, analytics, attribution, automation — enough infrastructure to move fast, no more
  • Report on what's working with numbers, not narratives

Who You Are

  • 2–5 years in growth, GTM, or marketing — with at least one stint at an early-stage startup where you were the first or only growth person
  • You've done 0→1: shipped the first campaign, found the first channel that worked, brought in early revenue or users
  • Generalist by choice. You'd rather own the full funnel than go deep on one channel
  • Strong on fundamentals — funnels, positioning, ICP, unit economics — and opinionated about them
  • Relentlessly experimental: you'd rather run five scrappy tests than perfect one big launch
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, zero process, and being measured on outcomes
  • Strong writer. Most of growth is words
  • Bonus: experience selling to developers, security teams, or enterprise buyers; comfort with basic scripting/automation
