ME349 - Part-Time Housekeeper - Upper East Side

Overview

A family is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and professional part-time housekeeper in the Upper East Side of Manhattan to maintain a large apartment for their 92-year-old mother. The principal has the support of three live-in caregivers who provide daily personal care and assist with routine household tasks, so this role is focused on deep cleaning, household maintenance, and ensuring the home remains clean, organized, and comfortable. The ideal candidate is thorough, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating respectfully with the existing caregiving team. This home is a 3-bedroom apartment and the family is looking for one or two days a week for 4-6 hours. 

 

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping throughout a large apartment.
• Dusting furniture, shelves, and common living spaces.
• Vacuuming and mopping hardwood floors.
• Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.
• Laundry of household linens, including towels and bed sheets.
• Changing bed linens for the principal.
• General organization of common areas.
• Weekly deep cleaning of the living room, library, and other shared spaces.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment while working alongside the live-in caregivers.

Requirements

• Have previous experience in private homes.
• Be meticulous, organized, and efficient.
• Be comfortable working respectfully alongside live-in caregivers.
• Take initiative while recognizing the home's existing routines.
• Have excellent professional references.
• Be reliable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness.

Salary and Benefits

• $40/hr
