The University seeks a high calibre and experienced professional to join the Campus Development Office as Senior Manager (Development). Reporting to the Director of Campus Development, the appointee will manage a portfolio of capital development projects and provide leadership to Project Managers in the planning, design, procurement and delivery of projects from inception through commissioning, handover and completion.
The appointee will provide strong leadership, technical guidance and project supervision to ensure projects are delivered safely and in accordance with the approved scope, programme, budget, quality, sustainability, statutory requirements and the University's policies and procedures. The appointee will work closely with academic departments, administrative offices, consultants and contractors to establish project objectives, resolve complex issues, manage project risks, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
The appointee will also contribute to the continuous enhancement of project governance, procurement practices, sustainability and project delivery standards across the Campus Development Office.
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in surveying, engineering, architecture or a related construction discipline together and hold relevant professional qualifications (e.g. HKIE, HKIA and HKIS), and have at least 15 years' relevant experience in architecture, engineering, construction and project management, including a proven track record in the successful delivery of major capital development projects.
Applicants should also possess the following attributes:
- Proven experience in leading complex, multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors, and supervising the delivery of multiple concurrent projects;
- Strong expertise in design management, procurement, contract administration, programme and budget control;
- Proven experience in delivering sustainable, high quality capital projects while maintaining high standards of safety and statutory compliance;
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning and problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
