General Laborer

Description

Job Summary: The General Production Associate assists with the production of window grilles, custom windows and doors. This role is responsible for assembly, fabricating, glazing and packaging finished product.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assembles raw materials to build sub-assemblies or finished product per custom order and specifications
• Utilizes tools such as cordless drill, miter saws, shapers, routers, sanders, glue and woodworking equipment
• Packs finished product efficiently and prepares for shipment
• Notifies Division Manager of any mechanical or production issues immediately
• Verifies quality and quantity of all incoming material
• Ensures correct inventory by verifying material counts for accuracy 
• Operates forklift to move raw materials and product
• Follows all safety policies and protocols while performing job duties
• Maintains order and tidiness in the production area during shift
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the Division Manager

Requirements

Education and Experience: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1 year of experience within a production or manufacturing environment, preferred

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to use hand tools, saws, sanders, and measuring devices
• Attention to detail and superior organizational skills
• Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. and carry extruded aluminum of up to 18 feet in length
