Description
Van Dyk Park Place Assisted Living Community in Hawthorne, NJ, is seeking a friendly, professional Receptionist to join our Administrative Team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming first impression, assisting residents and families, and supporting a caring community environment.
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.; every other weekend required.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff in a warm, professional, and helpful manner.
- Answer and route incoming calls, assist with telephone requests, and support resident communication needs.
- Maintain a welcoming reception area and uphold a positive public image for the community.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed.
- Support resident services by coordinating requests, appointments, inquiries, and communication with appropriate departments.
- Follow established policies and procedures related to confidentiality, emergency response, resident safety, and community operations.
- Assist during emergencies, drills, screenings, and other community needs as directed.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interact respectfully with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
- Reliable, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks in a busy front-desk setting.
- Prior receptionist, administrative, or senior living experience is helpful, but not required.
