About the opportunity
The Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning is seeking an Education Administration Officer to provide high-quality administrative and operational support across learning, teaching and curriculum activities. Working as part of the School's professional Education team, you will assist with a range of education-related tasks that support academic staff, enhance the student experience and contribute to the effective delivery of education programs and initiatives.
This casual role offers the opportunity to support a variety of projects, programs and events across the School while building positive relationships with students, academics and professional staff.
In this role, you will:
Provide administrative and operational support to academic, teaching and professional staff, including assisting with the application of University policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Assist with administrative tasks that support the delivery of industry placement programs and other education initiatives.
Support student-focused programs, events and engagement activities, including ADP Student Life initiatives.
Maintain accurate records, documentation and compliance information relating to student placements and education activities.
Assist in ensuring education activities align with relevant legislative, regulatory and University requirements.
Contribute to education projects and initiatives as required, supporting continuous improvement across the School.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual who can quickly contribute to a busy education support environment and provide high-quality administrative assistance. You will have:
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience providing administrative support in a tertiary education, professional services or similar environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with students, academic staff and professional colleagues.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support a range of activities as required.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Experience using Learning Management Systems, student administration systems or similar databases is desirable.
A sound understanding of confidentiality, compliance requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.
