Are you an experienced automotive or retail service professional ready to take the next step into leadership? At Gills Point S, we're looking for an Assistant Manager who is passionate about customer service, team development, and driving business success.
As the Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside the Service Center Manager to lead daily operations, support and develop team members, and ensure every customer receives an outstanding experience. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help drive sales, improve operational performance, and build lasting relationships with customers and your local community.

What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Assist in leading the daily operations of a busy automotive service and tire center.
- Coach, mentor, and develop technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, customer-focused culture built on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
Customer Service & Sales
- Build lasting relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and honest recommendations.
- Assist customers with tire, maintenance, and automotive repair needs.
- Support sales initiatives by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Operations
- Help oversee workflow, scheduling, inventory, and shop productivity.
- Monitor labor, sales, and key performance indicators to support store profitability.
- Ensure company policies, safety standards, and operating procedures are consistently followed.
- Assist with payroll, inventory control, purchasing, and administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive repair, tire, or retail service experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Understanding of automotive repair, tires, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience using POS systems and computer software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance customer satisfaction, employee development, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
