Description
Responsible for performing inventory transactions that are necessary to supply inventory for manufacturing and order fulfillment in a stockroom environment. Maintain accurate inventory counts and locations, researching costing and inventory discrepancies. This position is also responsible to assist in the shipping/receiving department when required to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
Major Responsibilities:
- Receives incoming material/parts, accurately verifies count against documentation, processes necessary paperwork, and run daily audit reports on materials/parts received.
- Perform daily cycle counts on parts determined by Accounting.
- Efficiently moves parts electronically/physically to and from the designated inventory reference bin location.
- Re-packs material as required for consuming area.
- Pulls component parts to satisfy work order requirements (kitting) and assures proper disbursement of parts to satisfy inventory integrity.
- Moves stock or materials to or from storage area to designated areas and stores items in bins, shelves, etc.
- Works with internal departments while providing customer service in stock room, receiving, and shipping.
- Performs appropriate packaging, ESD preparation, and outside processing.
- Ensures accuracy of paperwork, product count, work order completion, work order closure, and corrects discrepancies.
- Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for material kitting, traceability and FIFO.
- Assist in shipping/receiving as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years’ experience in stockroom and/or inventory control
Minimum Competencies:
- Computer literate with ability to navigate and understand various computer programs and conduct data entry
- Able to perform basic math functions
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented able to prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills to understand material transactions and reconcile discrepancies in physical inventory
