Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!
Shift: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: Starting at $22 per hr, can pay higher based on experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:
- Responsible for assembly of all automated packages.
- Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product.
- Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center.
- Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel.
- Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages.
- Troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs.
- Assist with developing automated valve sales training program.
- Perform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data.
- Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands.
- May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid state issued license is required.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics.
- Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere.
- Possess a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed.
- Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate.
- Ability to learn quickly.

Pay Range:
$16.53 - $24.81
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
