Our Group

KONE Doors Business (KDB) is the KONE Group entity specializing in automated entrance solutions. With strong expertise in the maintenance and modernization of automatic doors, KDB supports its customers with innovative, high-performing and safe solutions tailored to the needs of commercial, industrial, retail and healthcare buildings.

Operating internationally, KDB draws on its expertise, operational excellence and KONE’s culture of innovation to help create smoother, safer and more sustainable people flow every day.

Your Mission

As the trusted legal advisor and key legal point of contact for KONE Doors Business (KDB) in France, you will play a key role in supporting the business while identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate legal and commercial risks.

The role combines responsibility for the legal affairs of KDB France with support for KDB’s international legal and compliance matters, including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities, in close collaboration with the KDB Global Legal team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted legal business partner to KDB France management and operational teams, helping to secure business activities and protect the company’s interests.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, supporting their execution, and providing legal guidance on public and private tenders.
  • Managing pre-litigation matters, disputes, claims and liability issues, in coordination with external counsel when required.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to ethics, competition law, data protection and anti-corruption.
  • Overseeing corporate law and governance matters for KDB’s French entities.
  • Designing and delivering awareness initiatives and training on legal and compliance topics.
  • Supporting the company’s strategic projects, including M&A transactions, due diligence processes and organizational changes.
  • Developing and maintaining KDB’s legal standards and frameworks, including contract templates, general terms and conditions, delegations of authority, internal policies and digital tools.
  • Proactively monitoring legal and regulatory developments, identifying emerging risks and recommending pragmatic solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Providing legal and compliance support to KDB’s international operations, in collaboration with the KDB Legal Counsel.

Your Profile

You hold a Master’s degree in Law or an equivalent qualification and have at least five years of professional experience in business law, gained in-house, within a law firm, or through a combination of both environments.

You have strong expertise in contract and commercial law, as well as a good understanding of corporate law, construction law, public procurement and dispute management. Experience in compliance matters, particularly anti-corruption and competition law, as well as data protection (GDPR) and M&A transactions, would be a strong asset.

Comfortable working in technical and industrial environments, you are able to quickly understand operational challenges and provide legal advice that reflects business realities. Knowledge of the automatic door industry would be an advantage but is not essential.

You are recognized for your autonomy, sound judgment and strong sense of responsibility, and you bring a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to legal matters. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and to work successfully in a matrixed and international environment.

You are fluent in both French and English, written and spoken. You are also proficient in Microsoft Office tools and have a strong interest in digital solutions and emerging AI-powered legal technologies.

At KONE, we are focused on creating an innovative and collaborative working culture where we value the contribution of each individual. Employee engagement is a key focus area for us and we encourage participation and the sharing of information and ideas. Sustainability is an integral part of our culture and the daily practice. We follow ethical business practices and we seek to develop a culture of working together where co-workers trust and respect each other and good performance is recognized. In being a great place to work, we are proud to offer a range of experiences and opportunities that will help you to achieve your career and personal goals and enable you to live a healthy and balanced life.
