Description

STEEL WAREHOUSE WILL NOT PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS POSITION

Position Summary

Steel Warehouse is hiring an ERP Operations Functional Analyst to join the ERP Operations team supporting the Invera Invex ERP system across Steel Warehouse and Lock Joint Tube operation sites. The Operations team owns Invex after each site goes live: supporting users, building and maintaining configuration, and keeping standards and process guides current. The Analyst works day to day with the Operations Lead, partners closely with the Implementation team on new sites, and may rotate into Implementation work as assigned by the ERP Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Key Responsibilities

· Triage and resolve Invex user issues and service requests for live sites through Jira, putting live-site critical issues ahead of new build work and escalating to the Operations Lead and Invera as directed.

· Build Invex configuration and system setup from signed-off requirements, working alongside the Implementation team.

· Make routine LIVE configuration changes following the approved change process, and route process questions and enhancement requests through the Operations Lead.

· Maintain step-by-step process guides (Scribes), documentation, and configuration standards for live sites.

· Support month-end, period-close, and other recurring business activity at live sites.

· Help accept newly live sites from Implementation by working the handoff checklist: open issues, Scribe validation, key users, and support ownership.

· Test Invex version updates, communicate changes to users, and update Scribes on the set release cadence.

· Provide all-hands support during cutover and go live and the stabilization period that follows, including on-site and off-hours coverage as needed.

Growth Path

This role is the first level of a defined three-level ladder on the Operations team (Functional Analyst, Senior Functional Analyst, Team Lead). Analysts who demonstrate competency can progress to Senior Functional Analyst and Team Lead, with possible access to separate lateral tracks over time.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable working with both plant-floor users and corporate stakeholders.

· Working proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).

· Ability to travel up to 25% to operation sites, mainly during cutover and go live.

· Availability for nights and weekends as required by the business, particularly during cutover and go live, stabilization, and critical production issues.

Preferred Qualifications

· Direct exposure to Invera Invex ERP, either through prior work, internship, or coursework.

· Familiarity with the steel service center, tube manufacturing, or metals processing industry.

· Working knowledge of one or more ERP modules (Sales, Production, Materials, Purchasing, Quality, Logistics).

· Exposure to any ERP platform (SAP, Oracle, Plex, Microsoft D365, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Infor).

· Basic SQL, AI tools, or Power BI experience.

· Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira) and enterprise collaboration tools.

· Prior experience in application support, IT, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a business analyst function.
