Machine Operator — Day & Night Shifts

Starting pay: $21.00/hour

• 90 days: $21.50/hour
• 6 months: $22.00/hour

We’re looking for dependable Machine Operators who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in quality, and want to keep learning. You’ll operate production and packaging equipment, help solve everyday machine issues, and work with your team to make quality microwave popcorn safely and efficiently.

Your schedule

We offer day and night positions on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 rotation:

• Days: 4:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
• Nights: 4:30 p.m.–4:45 a.m.

The rotation alternates between working two days, two days off, and working three days, then reverses the following week. You’ll have every other weekend off and work approximately half the days of the year on your regular rotation. Additional overtime may be required.

What you’ll do

• Run production equipment: Set up, operate, and monitor machinery that fills, seals, wraps, and cartons microwave popcorn.
• Check product quality: Inspect bag weights, seals, date codes, and packaging. Record results and report concerns.
• Keep the line moving safely: Make routine adjustments, address basic jams and misfeeds within your training, and involve Maintenance when additional support is needed.
• Maintain a clean workspace: Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks and follow food safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Communicate with your team: Record production information, share equipment updates at shift changes, and help coworkers during startups and changeovers.
• Keep developing: Participate in training and skill assessments, learn additional equipment, and suggest ways to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents.
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with focus on quality and accuracy.
