In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Analyst-level position within Core Services, which is responsible for delivering accurate and timely transaction processing, client service and operational support while maintaining a strong focus on risk management, controls and continuous process improvement.

Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.
What you'll do in the role:
> Process corporate action transactions and related tasks within the assigned coverage area.
> Respond to client and stakeholder requests with accuracy and speed, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
> Follow the escalation framework, taking responsibility for identifying, escalating and helping to prevent operational issues.
> Raise issues, constructively challenge existing practices and propose practical solutions and process improvements.
> Liaise with local agents, clients and internal business units to research, communicate and process voluntary corporate action events within strict market deadlines.
> Perform corporate action reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and monitor key risks to support accurate client and proprietary position entitlements. What you'll bring to the role:
> Ability to build trust and find innovative ways to improve teamwork, functions and processes while contributing to a positive working environment.
> Understanding of the supported business area, client requirements and the importance of not compromising controls to meet a client request.
> Commitment to being a culture carrier across Operations and embracing the Firm's core values.
> Ability to analyse and reconcile detailed information accurately while managing competing priorities and strict deadlines in a high-volume, risk-sensitive environment.
> Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, external agents and internal stakeholders.
> At least 0-2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to develop the skills required for this role; previous banking, securities operations or corporate actions experience would be advantageous.
