Position Overview

The Food Runner / Expo plays a vital role in connecting our culinary team with our service team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position ensures that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our standards for accuracy, presentation, temperature, and timing.

The ideal candidate takes pride in the details, communicates effectively, and understands that every plate delivered is an opportunity to make a positive impression. Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right individual who brings a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Food Quality & Presentation

• Ensure food is delivered to the correct table promptly and accurately.
• Inspect plates for proper      presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to established standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Confirm orders are complete and accurately prepared before delivery.
• Communicate any discrepancies, special requests, or concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service timing.

Expediting & Kitchen Support

• Assist with preparing and organizing the expo line before and during service.
• Coordinate communication between the culinary team, servers, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain awareness of ticket times, course pacing, and service priorities.
• Keep the expo station stocked, clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Ensure plates, serving utensils, and other service supplies are clean and presentable.

Member Experience & Hospitality

• Deliver food with professionalism, confidence, and a welcoming attitude.
• Develop working knowledge of the menu to answer basic questions and assist members when appropriate.
• Demonstrate courtesy and attentiveness when interacting with members and their guests.
• Anticipate the needs of the service team and proactively assist wherever needed.
• Contribute to a consistent, memorable dining experience that encourages members to return.

Teamwork & Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and managers.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully, particularly during busy service periods.
• Follow established service standards, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of the Food & Beverage operation.

Previous food running, expo, restaurant, or hospitality experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow with our team.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position operates in a dynamic, team-oriented food and beverage environment. The Food Runner / Expo must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, moving efficiently throughout service areas, and handling the physical demands of restaurant operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Flexible scheduling is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
