This is a structured training program designed to develop future leaders in manufacturing operations. You’ll learn how pressure-treated lumber is produced, how high-performing plants run safely and efficiently, and how leaders drive results through people, process, and performance.
ProWood manufactures pressure-treated lumber built to last—engineered to help protect against rot, decay, and insects, and treated to meet AWPA standards.

- Build product knowledge in pressure-treated lumber and how it performs in the field
- Understand lumber grades, cuts, yields, and material optimization
- Support production scheduling, staffing plans, and daily performance tracking
- Learn cost controls, basic budgeting, and productivity measures
- Use reporting tools and business systems to share results and solve problems
- Develop leadership skills by supporting/leading teams and driving safe work practices
- Travel to other UFP/ProWood locations and customer channels to broaden your perspective
- Complete structured assignments, coursework, and milestone reviews
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (business, supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience
- Interest in manufacturing, operations leadership, and building a long-term career path
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data/metrics
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn by doing
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
