As a Probe Process Technician at Micron Technology, you will be part of the Probe Process team, supporting the manufacturing processes that keep production running safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The team maintains process stability across probe operations, covering process monitoring, quality checks, inventory tracking, and production readiness. You will support daily operations across shifts by monitoring process and equipment performance. You will respond to deviations and complete qualifications, evaluations, and production releases following established procedures. You will work closely with Process Engineers, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and Quality teams to keep production compliant and flowing. Beyond daily support, you will take part in NPI, process transfers, and continuous improvement projects that raise yield, efficiency, and cost performance for the team.
This is a shift-based role. Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, is a mandatory requirement.
## Responsibilities

- Respond to process deviations and quality excursions; perform initial problem solving and bring up to Process Engineers when needed.
- Collect and analyze production data to support fixing, process qualifications, and continuous improvement activities.
- Complete process qualifications, evaluations, and production releases in accordance with established SOPs and work instructions.
- Manage production holds, lot tracking, and material disposition activities, ensuring traceability and accurate documentation.
- Support new product introductions, process handovers, and manufacturing readiness activities, including shift handovers with clear and complete information.
- Participate in quality, efficiency, operational performance, and cost improvement projects within the Probe Process group, and maintain/update SOPs based on actual shift experience.
- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
## Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent working experience in a relevant engineering field.
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred; Probe or Test experience would be valuable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to isolate a problem, apply the accurate SOP, and know when to bring up an issue.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, work instructions, and process specifications accurately.
- Basic data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, SQL, or Tableau) for monitoring operational and quality outcomes is an advantage.
- Willing to work in a cleanroom environment and support shift operations when required.
- Ability to prioritize effectively under production pressure and make sound judgment calls on lot and process impact.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, for shift handover, documentation, and handling critical issues with engineers.
- Strong learning approach, teamwork orientation, and willingness to take ownership of improvement work beyond day-to-day support.
