Description

Join SLB New Energy & Industrial and help power a more balanced energy future.

Within NEI, our Data Center Infrastructure Solutions team is transforming how data centers are built—delivering modular, scalable solutions that accelerate deployment, reduce risk, and support the rapid growth of AI and cloud technologies.

The Supplier Manager is the single focal point for Assigned Suppliers, accountable for ensuring supplier delivery performance supports SLB production requirements through building strong relationships, influencing effectively, anticipating risks and driving solutions.

The objective is to move supplier management from reactive expediting to proactive delivery assurance, risk prevention and strategic collaboration, protecting SLB's operational performance and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Supplier Delivery Performance: Ensure Suppliers deliver materials in line with SLB production requirements; proactively manage shortages, delays, capacity constraints and recovery actions.
  • Protect Production & Profitability: Identify root causes of supply disruption and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurring issues, minimize red money, protect production continuity and safeguard profit margin.
  • Lead Supplier Relationships: Build strong, trust-based supplier relationships to influence priorities and improve performance despite limited contractual and commercial leverage.
  • Prepare and manage negotiations in accordance with business strategy.
  • Ensure that all managed suppliers have appropriate executed contracts in place, are monitored and that full-value extraction is delivered.
  • Manage Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the key interface across the suppliers and SLB functions, aligning priorities, expectations, responsibilities and escalation actions.
  • Communicate supplier strategy and key events of such relationships to the category, sourcing, supplier quality teams, and geographical Supply Chain Managers.
  • Drive Performance & Risk Management: Establish appropriate supplier KPIs, governance, early-warning mechanisms and recovery plans to improve delivery reliability and prevent production impact.
  • Prepare and lead periodic management reviews, using scorecards with main performance indicators, three-year business perspectives, and strategic product/market developments.
  • Lead supplier risk assessments (financial, operational, ESG, etc.) and ensure quarterly updates.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify systemic supply-chain weaknesses and implement sustainable solutions that improve resilience, execution capability and Client experience.
  • Identify opportunities and implement action plans to reduce waste.
  • Sustainability: Engage with managed suppliers to ensure they align with Schlumberger’s sustainability requirements, including human rights obligations, local-content commitments and the commitment to reduce GHG footprint. Ensure suppliers provide Schlumberger with the detailed GHG emissions certificate for their products/services and responses to other ESG inquiries on request.
