• Full- time 3rd shift 11:00 pm-7:30 AM
• Starting Rate: $29.81+ Shift Differentials
• New hires start with 3 weeks paid vacation

Job Description:  

The person hired for the position of Expansion Operator will work at our Chelmsford MA plant site.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

The fundamental responsibility is to operate various segments of the Expansion Operation to effectively support the efficient setup and production of material.

• Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Experience
• MES and/or SAP experience

Required: (Basic Qualifications)

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• This position is responsible for the operation of equipment associated with the expansion team.
• Working from written and verbal instructions, organize and perform all operations necessary to produce the required products in accordance with the production schedule.
• All work is performed to meet 3M quality standards.  Set-up and run all products on the appropriate equipment.
• Perform the necessary preventive maintenance, initiate shop work orders for any conditions that require the maintenance department assistance.
• Work with Engineering and R&D to resolve process problems and scale up new products.  Continuously monitor products, equipment and document in-process quality.
• The operator will be required to assist other operators in the proficient utilization of all equipment and processes.
• Upon completion of each job, move all material to the appropriate area for next operations.
• Observe department rules and document any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Required PPE must be worn at all times. 
• Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times.
• The knowledge of 3M testing procedures, gauges and process standards is required.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $29.81. This rate represents a good faith estimate for this position.
