Spring 2027 Undergraduate Intern, Nationwide Development Resources- Corporate Engagement- Development

The ACLU seeks an Undergraduate intern in the Corporate Engagement Team in the Development Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY.  This internship is Part-time and Hybrid.

Qualifying applicants must currently be matriculated undergraduate students or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and must be based in the U.S. for the entire duration of the internship.

The Corporate Engagement team works with companies to raise funds, advance shared advocacy goals, elevate the ACLU brand and help the ACLU to reach new audiences.

What You’ll Do:

The intern will learn about the range of work within the Corporate Engagement team through attending team meetings and taking on individual assignments.  Additionally, the intern will be exposed to the work of other teams within the Development Department.

Your Day to Day

• Conducting basic prospect research on business support for civil rights related work, and providing input on account cultivation and strategy and campaigns
• Providing design support on fundraising materials, including pitch decks, presentations, one-pagers, and event assets
• Supporting on data management projects
• Assisting with small group gatherings intended for donor education, cultivation and stewardship

What You’ll Bring:

• Interest in a career in development, prospect research, and/or corporate fundraising
• Good writing skills and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• An ability to analyze data

Nice to have:

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva

Internship Logistics:

• Location: Our internship program offers a limited number of remote or hybrid intern positions. This internship is part-time and hybrid from our New York City office.
• Time Commitment: Part-time (10,15 or 20hrs/wk)
• Internship Duration: Part-time internships span 12 consecutive weeks. This internship has a start date of: Jan. 11th or Jan. 25th, 2027
• Stipend: A stipend is available for students who are lawfully authorized to work. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for work/study or course credit.
  • Below are the stipend rates:
    • $20/hr for undergraduate students or equivalent experience
