VELUX Commercial is a new division in the VELUX Group, established in 2019 and comprises the former JET, Vitral, VELUX Modular Skylights and COXDOME organisations. Today, VELUX Commercial operates as one company with more than 1100 people in 13 countries and offers support to building professionals throughout the entire process from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for industrial, commercial, and public buildings.

About the role:

As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting the creation and delivery of the overall marketing plan and strategic business objectives. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will support the entire United Kingdom and Ireland team and be involved in a varied range of projects and tasks, from day-to-day administration through to campaign and project-based activities.

What you'll do:

• Support the business through effective management of the Marketing Inbox and direct line.
• Support the organisation, delivery and execution of marketing campaigns through a range of administrative and project-based activities.
• Source and procure marketing materials and services from a range of suppliers in a cost-effective manner.
• Ensure adherence to internal brand guidelines and those of key customers.
• Coordinate the fulfilment and distribution of marketing and point of sale (POS) materials to customers and colleagues.
• Maintain stock levels and inventory records for marketing and POS materials.
• Support research, planning and evaluation of future marketing initiatives.
• Support team briefings and carry out resulting actions and projects.
• Maintain project plans, timelines and budget reports.
• Help coordinate the VELUX Commercial presence at trade and consumer events across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
• Coordinate trade and consumer press advertising activities.
• Support the optimisation of digital channels, including websites, social media and online content.
• Support daily marketing department operations, striving for excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential criteria:

• Educated to degree level, ideally with an emphasis on marketing or business.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer and commercial environment.
• Experience liaising with a variety of stakeholders and balancing business priorities.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms and applications.
• Experience working within a marketing department.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and continuous development.
• Experience managing print and point of sale (POS) materials.
• Supplier negotiation and purchasing experience.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
