The Role
The Head of Financial Control is a direct report to Finance Director Cluster South (Italy, Spain, Portugal). The main responsibility of the Head of Financial Control will be to lead & coordinate the local tax & accounting function (SSC).
Key responsibilities
- Leads & coordinate the local tax and accounting team
- Standardize the tax and accounting function in the country
- Ensure procedures in the SSC are compliant with local legislation from an accounting & tax perspective
- Manage the relationship with external advisors: payroll, tax & accounting
- Manage the reporting with a specific focus on ensuring timeline & quality on financials
- Coordinate and drive to results the accounting team
- Coordinate the stabilization of Oracle implementation for new clinics after the Go Live
- Coordinate & monitor automation in the different streams of the SSC

Candidate requirements
- Expertise in local GAAP & tax compliance
- Strong technical skills & accounting background gained through a professional experience of minimum 7 years in an audit or chartered accounting firm
- Additional ‘in company’ experience is a must
- Experience in leading accounting teams
- Rigorous – process driven and structured thinker
- Experience with complex ERP, ideally Oracle Cloud
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office applications and accounting software
- Entrepreneurial, pragmatic and action orientated
- Independent and very driven
- Proven management skills

- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics, integrity and accountability
- Professional English level
- Pet ownership desirable but not essential. Candidate must like animals
