Senior Regional Engineering Manager — Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Transparent Search Group has been retained to identify a Senior Regional Engineering Manager for a food manufacturing company based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for engineering operations across multiple production facilities. Our client is open to relocation assistance for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to multi-plant engineering teams across the region
- Oversee capital project planning, budgeting, and execution at multiple facilities
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Partner with plant operations leadership to align engineering resources with production goals
- Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all sites
- Develop and mentor site-level engineering managers and technical staff
- Evaluate and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Manage relationships with contractors, equipment vendors, and external engineering resources
Qualifications
- Background in food manufacturing is required
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams across multiple plant locations
- Strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering disciplines
- Proven track record managing capital projects from concept through commissioning
- Familiarity with food safety regulations including FSMA, HACCP, and GMP standards
- Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred
