Overview
This role involves providing peer recovery coaching services as part of the PROACT team. The specialist helps individuals and families initiate and sustain recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders by removing barriers and serving as a personal guide. Responsibilities include connecting individuals to community resources, maintaining records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations, and conducting outreach to promote services. Candidates must have lived experience with substance use challenges, be in recovery for at least two years, and pursue the WV Peer Recovery Credential within three months of hiring.
