Production Supervisor – Bengaluru

Location: Factory / Manufacturing Unit

Experience: 1–5 years of experience in production, fabrication, signage manufacturing, or related manufacturing industries

Industry: Signage Manufacturing, Digital Signage and Fabrication

Objective

Responsible for supervising daily production activities, manpower allocation, machine utilization, material availability, quality control, production targets, and timely completion of manufacturing work as per project requirements.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in production supervision, fabrication, manufacturing, or signage industry.
• Knowledge of fabrication, cutting, drilling, welding, assembly, and finishing activities.
• Basic knowledge of CNC, Fiber Laser, and other production machinery.
• Ability to manage production manpower and allocate work efficiently.
• Knowledge of production planning and material management.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

• Plan daily production activities based on project requirements.
• Allocate manpower and machines according to production priorities.
• Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with Project Execution, Design, Purchase, and Stores teams.
• Prioritize urgent project requirements.

2. Production Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day production activities.
• Monitor fabrication, cutting, drilling, assembly, finishing, and packing work.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor machine utilization and minimize production downtime.
• Ensure proper workflow between different production stages.

3. Material Management

• Verify availability of raw materials before starting production.
• Coordinate with Stores for material issuance.
• Identify material shortages and inform the concerned senior immediately.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure proper utilization.

4. Quality Control

• Check production output for dimensions, finishing, alignment, and workmanship.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings/specifications.
• Identify defects and coordinate for rectification.
• Ensure final products are ready for dispatch as per quality requirements.

5. Manpower Management

• Allocate work to operators, fabricators, helpers, and other production workers.
• Monitor attendance and productivity.
• Guide workers on proper work methods.
• Maintain discipline and productivity within the production area.

6. Production Reporting

• Prepare and submit daily production reports.
• Track completed, pending, and rejected production quantities.
• Report machine breakdowns, material shortages, and production delays.
• Maintain required production records and documentation.
