Primary responsibilities include:
- Greeting and checking in individuals in a healthcare setting and assisting new individuals interested in enrolling for Departmental services.
- Answering and directing general inquiries from individuals, both in-person and over the telephone, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and verifying billing and insurance information.
- Provides courteous and timely customer service to County staff, vendors, visitors, and the public; provides information; responds to questions and refers individuals to appropriate staff.
- Manages medical provider schedules; sets-up hours of availability; notifies individuals of appointment cancellations due to staff illness, inclement weather, and other emergencies; and facilitates rescheduling activities.
- Accurately enters information into the Electronic Health Record system.
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related administrative work experience, preferably in a medical office or health and human services setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:- Experience with standard office equipment, including desktop scanners.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Bilingual skill, with the ability to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish.
- Must be available to work 7.5-to-10-hour shifts between the hours of 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Must maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA certifications.
- Must successfully complete mandatory training, including HIPAA, Human Rights and Therapeutic Options.
