GoLang React Developer

We are seeking a Senior GoLang Developer to lead the development of scalable, resilient backend services while also contributing to modern React.js front-end applications. You will architect and implement core platform components, optimize system performance, and collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and engineering leadership. This role requires deep expertise in Go, hands-on experience with React.js, strong systems-level thinking, and the ability to influence engineering direction.

This role is Monday–Friday, fully onsite in our client's office in Atlanta (Midtown). Candidates must be able to commute to the client site daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go.
• Build and maintain responsive, reusable React.js components and front-end features that integrate with Go-based APIs.
• Architect distributed systems and microservices with a focus on scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Design and document clean, well-versioned APIs (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL) that support both internal services and front-end applications.
• Optimize performance across APIs, data pipelines, and service-to-service communication.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across both backend and front-end codebases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Work directly with client stakeholders onsite to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead technical decisions around system design, data modeling, and infrastructure.
• Ensure application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure data handling.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and distributed system failures.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies with the client's engineering teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term engineering strategy.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years of hands-on Go development.
• 2+ years of professional experience building applications with React.js, including hooks, state management (e.g., Redux, Context API, or similar), and component-driven architecture.
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and message queues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, idiomatic Go code.
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday at the client's office in Midtown Atlanta.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Experience with Next.js, front-end testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright), and front-end performance optimization.
• Experience with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) or clean architecture.
• Prior consulting or client-facing experience.

This role is based in the US and only open to citizens and permanent residents of the US who do not require visa sponsorship.
