Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for all production equipment.
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance activities.
- Prioritize work orders based on safety, production impact, and resource availability.
- Create detailed job plans including labor requirements, parts, tools, and estimated time.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Operations to align schedules with production needs.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels of spare parts and materials; coordinate with purchasing as needed.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to:
- Generate and track work orders
- Maintain asset history
- Analyze downtime trends
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Monitor and report KPIs such as:
- Planned vs. unplanned work
- Schedule compliance
- Equipment downtime
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
- 3–5+ years experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or industrial maintenance in manufacturing
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, or similar)
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, equipment drawings, and schematics
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration ability
- Data-driven mindset with analytical problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance best practices
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant environment
- May require occasional off-shift or weekend scheduling support during shutdowns or major maintenance events
