Job Description
Job Summary
The Packaging Operator 2 is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the packaging of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with cGMP regulations and company quality standards. This role involves operating packaging equipment, performing in-process checks, and documenting activities accurately.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various packaging machinery and equipment, including but not limited to fillers, cappers, labelers, and cartoners.
- Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct in-process quality checks, including visual inspections, label verification, and component counts, and record results accurately.
- Document all production activities, including batch records, logbooks, and equipment usage, in a clear and timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and the packaging suite.
- Identify and report any deviations, quality issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of packaging processes and equipment.
- Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading components and finished goods.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot packaging machinery.
- Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and quality control principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations and data recording.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications is a plus.
This position is for the B shift Assembly which is one week Monday – Wednesday and the next week is Monday – Thursday.
Alternates every other week. 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. Time: is 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM every day assembly is scheduled to work.
