Description
Amentum is seeking a Documentation Specialist I to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. The Documentation Specialist is responsible for proper filing of US Department of Homeland Security, and Customs and Border Protection documentation for cargo shipments to/from AUTEC, Andros, Bahamas. Assist in office and cargo duties. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares air and marine cargo declarations, including all related documents
- Knowledgeable with custom’s clearance documentation and manifesting procedures for all cargo imported and exported to AUTEC
- Use of Trade Tech software for aircraft manifesting and Automated Manifest System (AMS) linking to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) systems
- Use of Click2Clear software for aircraft manifesting linking to Bahamas Customs systems
- Knowledgeable with custom’s clearance documentation and manifesting procedures for all cargo imported and exported to AUTEC
- Use MAXIMO to process delivery receipts, and search delivery status
- Performs periodic physical inventory counts for all Supply and departmental warehouses
- Operate Government cargo vehicles, on and off base
- With proper clearance, courier classified materials
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed
- Assist with Aircraft support operations, including US Mail handling as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office environment with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word and Excel), Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of air support equipment and heavy equipment for loading, offloading and delivery (air and sea) for weight and balance and stow plan creation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends according to aircraft and barge changing schedule, and test related requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills
- A valid Driver’s License and passport are required.
- Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.
- Must be able to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities.
