Job Title : Technical Trainer (Plumbing)


Education Qualification: ITI or CTI in Plumbing or Mechanical, Diploma -

Civil,TOT Level 4 certified.

Experience: 5+ years’ Industrial experience in Plumbing only + Minimum 02

years of Training experience

Role Summary:


  • The Plumbing Technical Trainer will be responsible for delivering Theory and hands-on technical training to students through structured Technical sessions and competency-based skill development programs. The role ensures that trainees acquire industry-relevant plumbing skills aligned with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The trainer will oversee Technical workshop operations, maintain training equipment, assess student performance through skill matrices, and foster multi-skilling to enhance employability and on-site productivity.

 

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Ensure 100% students training / monitoring follow up and minimum (not more than 5%) dropout
  • Ensure 90% of attendance on a daily basis
  • 100% Enrolment’s based on Target for current FY
  • 80% Placement/Self Employment based on Target
  • Deliver Technical training for all the students as per the curriculum from WMPSC.
  • Apart from WMPSC: external training will also be conducted to the students on the latest plumbing technology
  • Repairs & Maintenance of all the demo toilets and regular toilets at the facility
  • Preparing materials list for every batch
  • Maintaining STP & WTP on a daily basis
  • Owns Tool Room & Material Room and Crosscheck on Inward & Outward material
  • Ensure all the tools are in working condition & properly serviced

 

Role Specific Competencies:

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sanitary, CPVC/PVC/GI piping).
  • Knowledge of installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting practices.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, plumbing codes, and site compliance requirements.
  • Ability to develop Technical training modules, lesson plans, and competency skill matrices.

Performance & Operational KPIs:

  • Ensure 100% completion of Technical training as per curriculum.
  • Maintain ≥90–95% student attendance in Technical sessions.
  • Achieve ≥85–90% student competency certification/pass rate.
  • Ensure zero major safety incidents in workshop/lab.
  • Support ≥80% placement rate for certified trainees (as applicable)

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Strong demonstration and facilitation skills in workshop environment.
  • High ownership of workshop discipline, tool management, and safety compliance.
  • Ability to mentor and guide students toward industry readiness.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to support site visits and industry coordination activities.

Work Environment:

  • Classroom/Workshop/lab-centric role with hands-on technical delivery.
  • Requires comfort with tools, machinery, and physical demonstrations.
  • May involve industry/site visits and assessment support.
