We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.  Volunteers are an integral part of our Cedar City Hospital family, providing consistent and valuable support in a variety of departments throughout the hospital and contributing to the extraordinary patient care experience.     
This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the reward that comes from making a difference in people’s lives. 
Basic Competencies (knowledge, motor skills and behaviors): 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Sensitive to patient and family situations / dynamics 
• Able to speak, read and understand English 
• Able to work alone and independently (within scope of assigned duties) 
• Work with diverse populations 
• Ability to recognize boundaries and limitations of duties and not act independently of those functions

Qualifications:   

• Six-month commitment with a minimum of a 4-hour shift each week
• Must be at least 18 years of age 
• Able to work alone and independently 
• Good communication and listening skills 
• Ability to follow instructions 
• Ability to work with diverse populations 
• Physical mobility (walking, bending, standing) 
• Adequate hearing and vision 
• Sensitive to patient and family situations 
• Passing a background check
• Agree to get a TB test 
• Meet Immunization compliance
