About the role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate contractor activities supporting TAR operations, including land management, housekeeping, cleaning, waste management, and estate upkeep.

• Plan, deploy, test, and recover live fire target equipment in consultation with Defence user units.

• Open and close danger area gates and flags in accordance with approved live firing schedules.

• Build, repair, and maintain target equipment while managing consumable stock levels.

• Conduct inspections, audits, surveys, and compliance activities as required under contract obligations.

• Maintain training areas and facilities to ensure operational readiness and fitness for use.

• Operate, or quickly develop proficiency in, a range of target systems and associated equipment.

• Manage inventory, stock control, and storage requirements.

• Safely operate chainsaws and perform minor infrastructure repairs and maintenance.

• Operate vehicles in challenging off-road environments and undertake vehicle recovery activities.

• Participate in deployments to Defence training and operational locations, including extended periods away from home.
   

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in planning, placing, testing and recovering range live fire target equipment.

• Ability to operate and maintain various target systems such as DART, MTR, and SMR.

• Experience in inventory control, stock management, and storage maintenance.

• Range Officer Accreditation or relevant safety training would be highly regarded.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
