Description

Turn demanding quality requirements into practical ways of working across a global manufacturing organization. At Seco’s Global Quality Assurance organization, you’re the subject matter expert who strengthens quality assurance and compliance in aerospace, defense, and other highly regulated industries.

About the job

As Global Quality Specialist, you translate industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements into effective manufacturing controls, procedures and documentation. Working globally and close to the business, you strengthen quality capabilities across production sites and act as a trusted advisor to operations, engineering, sales, product management, and customers. You report to the Head of Quality Assurance.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance methods and audit programs across production units.
  • Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits, compliance reviews, and spot checks.
  • Assess gaps against industry standards, customer requirements, audit findings, and internal quality objectives.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions, root cause investigations, and implementation of roadmaps to completion.
  • Represent Seco in customer audits, technical reviews, certification audits, and qualification activities.
  • Train and coach colleagues while building knowledge of regulated industry quality requirements across the organization.

Location and flexibility

The position is flexible within Europe, ideally near a Seco or Sandvik site. Travel is an important part of the job and includes visits to production sites, audits, technical reviews, and qualification activities, mainly within Europe.

Your profile

You bring several years of hands-on quality assurance experience from manufacturing or regulated industries. With a strong understanding of auditing and compliance, you know how to turn demanding requirements into solutions that work in daily operations.

Your background includes

  • Strong experience with AS/EN 9100, ISO 9001, quality management systems, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Practical knowledge of gap analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working with customers, certification organizations, or regulatory bodies in a manufacturing environment.
  • A degree, or equivalent experience, in engineering, manufacturing, materials science, quality management or production technology.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with production teams, engineers, customers and senior leaders.

Experience with AQAP 2110, NATO-related requirements, Nadcap, AS9102, AS13100 or Lead Auditor qualifications is advantageous, along with knowledge of manufacturing processes, special-process management, and quality methods.

You take ownership, work independently, and keep initiatives moving through to completion. Combining technical depth with a practical mindset, you challenge established practices constructively and adapt your communication to different cultures and audiences. Building trust comes naturally, whether you’re working on the shop floor, advising leaders, or meeting customers.

The team

You work closely with quality teams, manufacturing operations, engineering, sales and product management, as well as strategic customers and certification and audit organizations. The international setup calls for collaboration across functions, production sites and cultures.
