  • Troubleshoots complex application issues and coordinates resolution activities with technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Partners with business stakeholders to evaluate artificial intelligence use cases and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Leads requirements-gathering sessions and workflow analyses and translates business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and solution requirements.

  • Leads testing, validation, user acceptance, implementation, and ongoing support activities for new functionality and application enhancements.
  • Collaborates with information technology, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, legal, and other stakeholders to support responsible and compliant use of artificial intelligence applications.
  • Develops and delivers user training, communications, and enablement resources to support effective application adoption and utilization.
  • Leads complex application implementations, functional enhancements, and enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements and organizational priorities.
  • Provides technical guidance, coaching, and training to less-experienced analysts and serves as a resource for resolving complex functional and application-related matters.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Department Specific Functions:

  • Embeds with assigned departments through observation, interviews, and workshops to understand daily workflows, identify pain points and manual workarounds, and establish baseline measures of volume, cycle time, errors, and staff effort.
  • Documents current- and future-state processes, business rules, applications, integrations, data flows, and operational dependencies; maintains clear requirements and process documentation.
  • Translates findings into prioritized use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Recommends process changes, existing-system improvements, automation, or AI solutions based on expected value, feasibility, and risk, in partnership with departmental leaders and technical teams.
  • Coordinates delivery of assigned initiatives with engineering and application teams, maintaining scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and status updates; escalates barriers and proposed scope changes to the appropriate owners.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between departmental users and technical teams, validating requirements, demonstrating proposed solutions, incorporating feedback, and aligning stakeholders on priorities and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinates user acceptance testing, pilots, and go-live readiness. Works with security, privacy, compliance, data governance, and application owners to obtain required reviews and approvals before implementation.
  • Develops and delivers end-user training, quick-reference materials, and updated procedures; supports departmental champions, adoption activities, and the transition to ongoing support.
  • Measures adoption and operational results against agreed baselines and success criteria; identifies improvements, maintains the enhancement backlog for assigned initiatives in partnership with appropriate owners, and captures reusable practices for future department engagements.
