The role also leads annual renewal communications testing and quality validation, including defect management and onsite print-vendor audits. Through extensive testing expertise, institutional knowledge, and cross-functional leadership, the Senior Advisor helps ensure Individual Dental solutions and communications are accurate, compliant, operationally ready, and positioned to deliver a positive customer experience.

  • Establish and promote consistent testing standards, practices, documentation, and controls across assigned initiatives.

Test Automation Strategy, Development, and Execution

  • Define the automation strategy for business integration testing, including identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities to automate rate, benefit, and other repeatable testing activities.
  • Assess automation opportunities based on business risk, testing volume, complexity, repeatability, anticipated benefits, and implementation effort.
  • Estimate the level of effort required to design, build, maintain, and execute automated testing solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of automated UAT scripts and tools that align with business requirements and established testing objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of automation solutions, coordinating activities across business, technology, vendor, and testing resources.
  • Execute or oversee automated rate and benefit testing across multiple external partner platforms.
  • Validate automated testing results, investigate exceptions, and ensure identified issues are documented, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Maintain and enhance automation tools and scripts to support changing products, benefits, rates, business requirements, and technology platforms.
  • Use automation to increase testing capacity, consistency, accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability while reducing manual effort and operational risk.
  • Evaluate additional opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and emerging capabilities to improve testing effectiveness and operational readiness.

Renewal Communications Testing and Quality

  • Lead annual testing and quality-validation activities for Individual Dental renewal communications.
  • Develop the testing strategy, scenarios, quality criteria, and validation approach for renewal letters and related customer communications.
  • Coordinate testing activities across business, technology, operations, and print-vendor partners to confirm renewal communications meet established requirements.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and manage renewal communication defects through resolution.
  • Partner with print vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure defects are corrected accurately and within required timelines.

Defect, Risk, and Issue Management

  • Partner with business, technology, and vendor teams to develop corrective actions and confirm that implemented solutions address identified requirements.
  • Identify testing risks and readiness concerns early and develop mitigation or contingency plans to protect implementation timelines and business outcomes.
  • Escalate material risks, unresolved defects, and readiness concerns with clear analysis, business impact, and recommended actions.
  • Monitor testing progress, defect trends, and resolution status and provide clear, executive-ready reporting to stakeholders and leadership.

Go-to-Market and Operational Readiness

  • Provide testing leadership for annual Go-to-Market and Open Enrollment readiness activities.
  • Partner with business, technology, operations, marketing, compliance, and vendor stakeholders to validate readiness across critical Individual Dental workflows.
  • Assess testing completion, unresolved defects, operational dependencies, and implementation risks to support readiness decisions.
  • Provide objective recommendations regarding whether solutions, processes, and customer communications are prepared for implementation.
  • Support successful implementation by ensuring testing outcomes, open risks, contingency plans, and ownership expectations are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Apply institutional knowledge and testing expertise to anticipate issues, identify cross-functional dependencies, and reduce operational disruption.
