Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Field Patrol in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Security Experience (C115):Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a security-related role. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security protocols and procedures effectively.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Candidates should possess experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with electronic access systems and the ability to manage visitor access is essential.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage digital communications, and utilize technology for reporting and documentation.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues. Experience in resolving conflicts and providing assistance is highly valued.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, controlling entry and exit points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and promptly reporting observations.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
