Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home tutoring company. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our students. We specialize in all subject areas and cater to students from age four to twenty. We hire only the best - certified teachers, or those in the process of completing their degree in Education and pay much higher wages than the industry average.
Job Summary
Provide academic support to middle and high school students in Grades 7–12, with a primary focus on English based on the Georgia curriculum.
Provide supplemental assignments and learning activities to help students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, literary analysis, and communication skills.
Provide remedial and enrichment support to help students build confidence, improve academic performance, and develop strong independent learning skills.
Support students with essay writing, reading comprehension, critical thinking, literary analysis, research, and other English Language Arts skills appropriate to their grade level.
Provide Social Studies and History support as an additional subject area when applicable.
Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress, learning goals, and areas for continued development.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for teachers or soon to be teachers who can meet the following criteria:
Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience teaching or tutoring middle and/or high school students.
Strong knowledge of English Language Arts for Grades 7–12, including reading, writing, grammar, literature, essay development, and critical analysis.
Experience or subject knowledge in Social Studies and/or History is considered an asset.
Committed to providing excellent customer service and a positive learning experience for students and families.
Enjoy working with students and families and have a genuine interest in supporting students' academic growth.
Great communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt instruction to individual student needs.
Familiarity with the Georgia curriculum and the academic expectations for middle and high school students is considered an asset.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:
You hold a registration in good standing with the Georgia Department of Education.
You are qualified to teach in the United States.
You are a current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education.
You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited United States or Canadian University or College.
Experience teaching or tutoring Grades 7–12 English, English Language Arts, Social Studies, or History is considered an asset.
This position will serve students in the Forsyth, Georgia area.
