Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, certified, and career-driven Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join our quality control team based out of our St. Louis, MO office. In this role, you will perform evaluations on materials, components, and structures to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry safety and quality standards.
We are specifically looking for technicians who want to grow their skills and abilities into advanced inspection methods. We actively invest in your professional growth by providing a clear pathway and financial support for career development into advanced technologies, including Radiographic Testing (RT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
The ideal candidate must possess active certifications and demonstrated experience in Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT-T).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform NDT inspections utilizing VT, MT, PT, and UT-T methods in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized NDT equipment.
- Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results, preparing detailed reports of findings.
- Identify, mark, and report discontinuities or defects in materials and welds.
- Travel to support other company offices and project sites as operational needs require.
- Collaborate with project managers, welding inspectors, and quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and safety guidelines.
- Maintain testing equipment in clean, calibrated, and proper working condition.
- Current ASNT Level II or equivalent certification in VT, MT, PT, and UT-T is required.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of field experience performing NDT inspections.
- Strong desire to learn and cross-train in advanced NDT methods (RT, PAUT).
- Willingness and ability to travel to various regional offices/sites from the St. Louis base.
- Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, and ASTM.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in generating clear, concise written inspection reports and data entry.
- Excellent safety track record and commitment to workplace safety protocols.
