The Trimble Platform team is seeking a visionary Staff Software Engineer to champion our AI-first approach. In this role, you will lead multiple high-impact initiatives, embed AI into our daily engineering practices, and serve as a technical bridge across the organization. You will architect solutions, navigate complex enterprise hierarchies, and guide stakeholders toward scalable, forward-thinking technical decisions.

• A Calm & Composed Leader: You possess excellent communication skills and experience working seamlessly with globally distributed teams. You stay level-headed and clear-focused, even when navigating complex enterprise environments.

• An AI Practitioner & Designer: You are a power user of LLMs and have hands-on experience building applications using foundation models.

• An Application Designer & Leader: You know how to design full applications from the ground up. You excel at taking complex technical problems and breaking them down into smaller, clear tasks for your team to work on.

• A Technical Leader: You excel at breaking down complex architectural initiatives and mentoring engineering teams to execute them flawlessly.

• A Hands-On Builder: You maintain the ability to code, debug, and implement solutions alongside your team.

• An Automation Advocate: You aggressively identify bottlenecks and automate CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.

• A Security & Quality Champion: You strongly believe in following a solid software development process. You design with a "shift-left" mentality, ensuring that cybersecurity, testing, and compliance are built in from the very beginning rather than added at the end.

### Experience & Leadership

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, enterprise-level applications.

• Enterprise Influence: Exceptional communication skills with a proven history of driving architectural decisions and aligning stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.

• Beyond the Code: You bring experience that goes beyond standard individual contributor work, demonstrating clear impact in system design, process improvement, and technical leadership.

### Technical Proficiencies

• Full Stack Mastery: Deep programming experience in Java or Python, coupled with a strong understanding of UI technologies, Web service frameworks, and NoSQL databases.

• AI-Native Development: Proven experience utilizing AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in daily workflows, alongside a strong grasp of prompt and context engineering.

• Cloud Architecture: Extensive hands-on experience designing and operating SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions on AWS (AWS Certifications are a strong plus).

• DevOps Mindset: Proven track record of implementing and automating robust CI/CD pipelines.
