Job Summary & Purpose:

NEXTPOWER is the leading provider of intelligent solar tracking systems, offering advanced solutions that optimize the performance and reliability of utility-scale solar power plants around the world. Our talented worldwide team is transforming PV plant performance every day with smart technology, data monitoring and analysis services.

As a part of our strategic growth, NEXTPOWER has expanded into the business covering non-US client (EPC) in China. NEXTPOWER is building upon the company’s achievements in solar tracker structures, wind engineering, and steel components to deliver the next generation PV module frame. 

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director to lead strategic sales initiatives and business development activities for NEXTracker’s global and regional markets. The Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships, leading complex commercial negotiations, and coordinating cross-functional teams to successfully execute utility-scale solar projects.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of the solar and power industry, and the ability to work across technical, financial, operational, and executive stakeholder groups. The Sales Director will work closely with Global Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to develop competitive strategies, expand market presence, and ensure successful customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle.

This position requires a high degree of leadership, strategic thinking, customer-facing capability, and experience managing complex commercial opportunities in fast-paced international markets.

This role is based in NEXTPOWER Shanghai office.

Desired Qualifications:

·    Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred

·    8+ years of experience in solar, renewable energy, power infrastructure, or related industries

·    Demonstrated experience leading complex sales processes and commercial negotiations for large-scale infrastructure or energy projects

·    Strong understanding of utility-scale solar project development, EPC processes, and commercial structures

·    Experience working with international customers and cross-functional global teams

·    Strong financial modeling and commercial analysis capabilities

·    Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems, and proposal development

·    Salesforce.com experience preferred

·    Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills

·    Strong leadership capability with ability to operate effectively in dynamic and fast-paced environments

·    Fluent English required; 


SECTION THREE

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

·     Lead regional/global sales and business development activities to achieve revenue and margin targets

·     Develop and manage strategic customer relationships with EPCs, developers, utilities, and key industry stakeholders

·     Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and bid strategy development for utility-scale solar projects

·     Coordinate internal cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and Product Management to support project execution and customer requirements

·     Drive opportunity pipeline management and maintain accurate sales forecasting through Salesforce.com and other CRM tools

·     Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, and deal structures to ensure competitive and profitable project execution

·     Lead preparation of proposals, quotations, customer presentations, and executive-level business reviews

·     Identify new market opportunities, partnership strategies, and regional growth initiatives

·     Support development of localization, manufacturing, and supply chain strategies where required by market conditions

·     Provide voice-of-customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams to support product roadmap and innovation initiatives

·     Mentor and support junior sales, business development, and analyst team members

·     Continuously improve commercial processes, proposal standards, reporting structures, and sales effectiveness metrics
