Labourer, Processing Facilities

Title: Processing Facility Labourer Department:

Maintenance Reporting to: Supervisor of Maintenance or Designee

Key Responsibilities:

 General plant & parking area clean up and Upkeep

 Landscaping, Winter works, Snow removal & Salt walkways, and various small paths

 Assist with various department general tasks as needed

 Perform various inspections, record findings, and provide updates as directed

 Notify management of any deficiencies or needs for repairs if found

 Carry out thorough cleansing tasks on equipment throughout the plant

 Make adjustments and minor repairs to various small equipment as needed

 Assist with Inventory counts and monitoring, report findings to supervisors

 Work cohesively with staff in all departments

 Follow all health & safety procedures as well as work within the policies set forth

 Housekeeping

Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies:

 Punctual, Reliable, and Dependable

 Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

 Ability to carry out physical duties in both indoor and outdoor environments.

 Must have a Valid Driver’s License

 Basic knowledge of: Plumbing, Electricity, Carpentry, Masonry, Drywall, Painting, and others

 Forklift, Skid Steer, and Elevated work platform experience is an asset, but not required

 Experience using hand tools for general purposes.

 Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

 Work well independently or within a team setting

 Must be willing to work shifts, and be available for overtime & weekends as required
