The Business Manager oversees the management of special projects relating to practice acquisitions and expansions. Facilitates process improvement, performs business analytics and provides for strategic business development.  Collects and analyses data to support those initiatives. Provides for the managerial oversight of designated areas of responsibility and staff.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Projects:
    - Oversees projects that may be related to practice acquisitions, process improvement etc.
    - Provides analytical support for practice startup and expansion projects.
    - Ensures that projects are completed within stipulated time and budget.
    - Coordinates schedules with physicians and staff and coordinates those activities to ensure there is clear communication and projects remain in scope.
    - Oversees process improvement projects
  • Referral Line:
    - Provides managerial oversight for the referral line and manages the staff that support those functions.
    - Ensures the referral line consistently provides seamless continuity from patient contact to appointments.
    - Maintains data analytics and reports information to senior leadership.
    - Monitors the referral process and makes improvements as needed to ensure efficient operations.
    - Identifies solutions to a variety of strategic issues.
    - Researches and evaluates financial alternatives, possible investments, or business development considerations.
  • Finance Interface:
    - Interfaces with Finance team to prepare and submit data for various benchmark studies, consulting engagements, and senior-level reports.
    - Maintains analytics that demonstrate trends in access, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
    - Research, collects, classifies, and analyzes statistical data related to strategic project assignments. makes recommendations to senior leadership based on those findings


EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years Healthcare experience
